New Delhi, March 20 In a first of its kind deal, GTL Ltd and Vanu Inc announced a strategic alliance to develop solutions for sharing active infrastructure by mobile operators. Active infrastructure includes the radio frequency equipment, antennae and other gear required to transmit wireless communication. At present, the Government allows sharing of passive infrastructure (towers), though it may soon permit operators to share the active part of the mobile network.
