Vanu Bose has passed, but his spirit and vision to connect the unconnected will live on
It is with great pain and sadness that we share the news that our founder Dr. Vanu Bose passed away Saturday, November 11, 2017 quite suddenly and unexpectedly from a pulmonary embolism. Vanu was an amazing, brilliant, deeply-caring genuine leader, entrepreneur and family man. Vanu had an extraordinary ability to inspire all those that he came in contact with.
He loved learning, helping others, teaching and mentoring. He was also a humanitarian who passionately pursued using our wireless technology to connect the unconnected in the most rural parts of the world. Vanu’s vision is that everyone can and should have economically sustainable wireless coverage. Vanu once said, “To be unconnected is to be left behind, and we don’t want anyone to be left behind.”
We at Vanu, Inc. are committed to Vanu and his work and will continue to work tirelessly to fulfill the vision Vanu had for connecting the last billion so that everyone, no matter their circumstance, has wireless access to education, commerce, safety, health and a way to speak to their loved ones. In the following article, MIT describes Vanu as a beautiful human being. He was. He will be missed each and every day by all of us.
You can read MIT’s kind words on their website.
